It’s been 10 years
since the last reunion.
Time to renew old friendships.
Tentative Schedule (subject to change)
- Wednesday, April 23
- COMM Week: Participate in panels and meet other working professionals. Your chance to meet the current journalism students and dispense (or receive) sage advice!
- Evening: No official reunion events, but we will post informal get-together information here if alumni for specific eras wish to meet off campus. The Pub in the student union basement is long gone, but the revamped downtown Fullerton has plenty of watering holes.
- Thursday, April 24
- Afternoon: Cocktail reception at Alumni House with past staff and advisers.
- Late afternoon: Tour the Daily Titan newsroom and meet the current staff.
- Evening: Dinner and awards hosted by Communications Department. Silent auction for journalism memorabilia. RSVP information will be sent in early 2025.
- Friday, April 25
- Late Morning: Family softball and picnic lunch.
No 60-year reunion was held during the pandemic era, so the 65th anniversary attendees will have a lot of catching up to do — but a video prepared for the 60-year reunion is linked below.
A note about timing: Easter and Passover fall extraordinarily late in 2025, well after the usual college spring break season. The reunion is being held on Wednesday noon through Friday afternoon to better fit with COMM Week 2025 and to avoid post-holiday weekend flights home.
Meanwhile, we’ve posted a video made for the 60th anniversary in 2020, and also Daily Titan’s 50th anniversary story, 50-year print special section and online 50-year special section.
Tentative highlights include:
- Faculty advisers, including Jeff Brody, Jason Shepard, Michelle Kurland and Walt Baranger.
- Alumni and families softball game on Friday.
- Reception at Alumni House.
- Daily Titan annual awards dinner with alumni honorees.
- Tour the Daily Titan newsroom and meet the current students and faculty advisers.
- Opportunities to attend and speak at COMM Week 2025 events.
- Silent Auction of journalism and CSUF memorabilia. Lots of great stuff!
